PDS Snowsport (France) — booking administration provided by JJC Training Ltd

1. Who you’re booking with

  1. JJC Training Ltd (“JJC”), an English company registered in England and Wales with company number 09252099, takes your booking and arranges your lesson. JJC works with a network of self-employed, independently qualified ski and snowboard instructors operating in France under the name PDS Snowsport (“Instructors”). JJC doesn’t have a separate office or company in France – our Instructors are individually self-employed and book directly through us.
  2. When you book through JJC, two things happen at once:
  1. JJC arranges and manages your booking, in return for a booking fee; and
  2. you have a separate contract with the Instructor who actually delivers your lesson(s).
  1. JJC isn’t the one teaching you to ski or snowboard – that’s down to your Instructor. When we say “we”, “us” or “our” about your booking, we mean JJC. When we say “the Instructor”, we mean the qualified instructor delivering your lesson.

2. The booking

  1. Our website and other channels describe the lessons available. We sometimes run special offers; where an offer’s terms differ from these Terms, the offer terms apply instead.
  2. Prices cover booking and the lesson itself only. You’ll need to sort out and pay for equipment hire, lift passes, accommodation, travel and insurance separately.
  3. All bookings are subject to these Terms. If you’ve booked using a deferral, credit or gift voucher, we can’t refund this as cash – we’ll issue a replacement voucher instead.
  4. If we reasonably believe we’ve been given incorrect information about a child or adult’s age or ability, and there’s no suitable lesson to move them into, we (or the Instructor) can exclude them from the lesson without a refund.

3. Meeting your instructor and lesson conduct

  1. It’s your responsibility to find the right meeting point at the right time – details are on our website, from your tour operator, or from us directly. If you’re late finding your Instructor, we can’t refund the lesson, and the Instructor may not be able to run over to make up the time.
  2. Some lessons may include off-piste skiing. You’re responsible for making sure your insurance covers off-piste injury. Where avalanche safety equipment is needed, you must use it – your Instructor can refuse to take you out without it, and we can point you to where to hire it.
  3. Skiing and snowboarding are hazardous activities and you take part at your own risk. You must have adequate insurance. Neither JJC nor the Instructor is responsible for death, injury, loss or accident during a lesson, except where this is caused by the Instructor’s own negligence. Your Instructor decides, using their professional judgement, what terrain is suitable for your group’s ability – on or off piste.
  4. Please keep your contact details up to date with us so we can reach you if we need to, including at short notice.

4. Client code of conduct

  1. Everyone using our lessons needs to behave safely and appropriately, on and off the snow. Your Instructor can remove or exclude anyone from a lesson without warning if safety guidance isn’t followed, if someone else’s experience is being affected, or if there’s physical or verbal abuse. No refund is due in these situations.
  2. This includes, for example:
  1. not following your Instructor’s safety guidance or directions;
  2. not observing the FIS (International Ski Federation) Rules of Conduct;
  3. skiing or boarding under the influence of alcohol or anything else affecting your coordination or judgement;
  4. putting yourself or others at risk; and
  5. ignoring government safety rules in force at the resort.
  1. You’re responsible at all times for the conduct of anyone you’ve booked lessons for.

5. If things don’t go to plan (Force Majeure)

  1. If the resort is open, even partially, we’ll deliver lessons where we safely can, using the terrain that’s available.
  2. We don’t control resort operating decisions. Where something at the resort affects your lesson – technical failure, strikes, weather, snow cover, power cuts, disease control measures, or visitor restrictions – we can’t offer a refund, reimbursement or discount. This is what travel insurance is for; we’ll help with information for your claim where we can.
  3. Neither JJC nor the Instructor is liable for delays or failures caused by something beyond reasonable control – this includes things like extreme weather events, war, epidemic, government action, travel restrictions, strikes, or criminal conduct on your part (a “Force Majeure Event”).
  1. We’ll let you know as soon as we reasonably can once a Force Majeure Event starts.
  2. We’ll do what we reasonably can, in line with normal industry practice, to get your lesson back on.
  3. If we can’t fit it in, no refund is due.

6. Cancellation

  1. Payment is due in full when you book, unless we’ve agreed otherwise with you in writing. If you cancel, your refund depends on how close to the lesson you are – this reflects how likely we are to be able to resell the slot:
  1. 60 days or more before your first lesson: 80% refund.
  2. 59–30 days before: 60% refund.
  3. 29–15 days before: 40% refund.
  4. 14 days or fewer before: no refund.
  1. If you simply don’t show up on the day, we can’t offer a refund or reschedule.
  2. If you don’t meet the age requirement for a lesson and a parent or guardian can’t show proof of age, we or the Instructor can turn you away at the start without a refund.

7. Lesson level and group lessons

  1. Full details of lesson types and levels are on our website. It’s your responsibility to book yourself, and anyone in your party, at the right level and type. We or the Instructor may need to move you to a different level or lesson where it makes sense to.
  2. At the start of a group lesson, your Instructor will check everyone’s ability and may move people between groups to keep things running smoothly – occasionally this means a group is one person over the advertised maximum.
  3. Group lessons need at least two people to go ahead.
  4. If you end up the only person booked into a group lesson, we’ll get in touch by the Friday before it’s due to start to talk through your options – a full refund, or switching to a private lesson.
  5. We or the Instructor may need to change your lesson start time; we’ll let you know if this happens.

8. Data, privacy and media

  1. How we handle your data, and how PDS Snowsport and our Instructors handle it, is set out in our Privacy Policy, available at [link].
  2. During lessons, your Instructor or JJC may take photos or video, including of children under 18, for coaching feedback and marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or your Instructor before the lesson.

9. Contact details

  1. JJC Training Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 09252099, registered office 142 Catherington Lane, Horndean, Hampshire, PO8 9PB.
  2. PDS Snowsport is a trading name of JJC Training Ltd. In France, your lesson is delivered by a self-employed Instructor contracting directly with you, as explained in Section 1.
  3. You can contact us at lessons@pdssnowsport.com.

10. Technology integration

  1. PDS Snowsport (JJC Training Ltd) and SportAutonomy are under common ownership. As part of your lesson, we currently provide free access to a digital training app operated by SportAutonomy, at no cost to you for the 2026/27 season.
  2. We don’t guarantee this will remain free beyond the 2026/27 season. If anything changes, we’ll update these Terms before it does, and your refund rights under Section 6 won’t be affected by any change to this clause.
  3. In future, we may offer to add you directly to the app as part of your booking. If we do, we’ll update these Terms to explain exactly what data we share with SportAutonomy, how it’s used, and how to opt out – before we start doing so.

11. General

  1. Entire agreement: These Terms, together with your contract with the Instructor, are the whole agreement between us on this subject and replace anything agreed before.
  2. No partnership or employment: Nothing in these Terms makes JJC and any Instructor partners, employer and employee, or joint venturers – or does the same between JJC and you – unless we’ve said so expressly.
  3. Transferring this agreement: JJC can transfer this agreement, or part of it, without needing your consent.
  4. Third parties: only you and JJC can enforce this agreement – the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 doesn’t apply.
  5. Governing law: your booking arrangement with JJC is governed by English law, and the English courts deal with any disputes about it. Your separate contract with the Instructor, for the lesson itself, is governed by French law, since that’s where the lesson takes place and where your Instructor is based.
