Who Our December Ski Camp Is For

Our December ski camp welcomes racers at every stage of their skiing. First timers in gates are given room to find their feet, moving from steady plough parallel turns into cleaner, more committed parallel turns before taking on a course. Athletes at improver camp level spend the week sharpening their line and rhythm, while advanced skiers push into tighter sets and firmer snow.

Young athletes from ten years old upwards are welcome, and because we group by age and ability, nobody is held back or hurried along. If ski racing is a new sport for your child, this is a friendly way in, and if they already race for a club, it is the ideal early season sharpener.

What Your Week On Snow Looks Like

Arrival day is a settled one. We meet the team, run through kit and boot set up, and get a first look at the hill so everyone starts the week feeling ready. From there, each morning begins early while the pistes are quiet and the snow is at its best, with a short break for hot chocolate before the session builds. Afternoons move between gates and free skiing, depending on the weather. Evenings are for warming up, comparing notes with the coaches and resting properly, because a good night matters as much as the work on snow.

Accommodation, Meals And Lift Passes

We can help arrange half board accommodation in Avoriaz so breakfast and dinner are taken care of and your only job is to ski. Staying in the same house as the rest of the group is part of what makes the camp experience work, and it is usually where new friends are made. Meals are hearty and timed around training, with plenty for hungry ski racers.

Your lift pass is booked separately from the camp price, and we will advise which pass suits the week before you arrive. Families travelling together can let us know their requests at the time of booking and we will do our best to sort the details.

More Than Gates: Skiing the Whole Mountain

Avoriaz is a wonderful place to ski beyond a race course, so we make time for it. Coaches take groups out to read variable snow, handle a little off piste and take in the breathtaking views across the Portes du Soleil. It is where new skills stick, because real terrain teaches balance in a way no drill can. Snowboarders in the family are looked after too through our snowboard school, and private lessons can run in the same week for anyone who wants extra time with an instructor.

Camps Across the Rest of the Season

December is the start of it. We run an Easter snow camp, race support at the English and British Championships, and a summer camp for athletes who want to keep progressing through the off season. Options range from a five day camp to a single day camp for those who can only spare a morning or two, in locations across Europe.

Wherever you join us, you get the same world class coaching and the same welcome. Skiing is a winter activity that can easily become a way of life, and we love watching that happen.
